womanhood
an invisible film by Anne Teikari
womanhood (2024) is a 15-minute invisible film about a woman asking herself whether the requirements of modern life make any sense. The piece handles the difficulty of expressing true feelings, and how we escape those into daily routines. Four singers perform live as the messengers of feminine wisdom, trying to remind the protagonist of her true self. Electronic music depicts the anxiety of breaking into the office cubicles of our time, while the sound design represents the interaction between the world and the woman’s inner mind.
